FUAM STUDENT UNION LAUNCHES FIRST EDITION OF THEIR MAGAZINE

The student union outgoing council cabinets of federal university of agriculture makurdi launches the first edition of the students union Magazine and commissioned their completed projects.

The ceremony which gained massive appearances and prominent personalities like the lives of Sen. comrd. Abah Moroh which was ably represented by the CEO BENSASA, Hon. Ronald Solomon, Hon. Francis Otah (member house of representatives, Ado-ogbadibo constituency), Hon. Mrs. lami ogenyi, prof. Richard Kimbir(VC Uni agric makurdi), Hon. Lois Augustine , prof. Joseph Anande (DVC uni agric makurdi) Chief Robert orya who was the chief launcher of the occasion, barrister Mrs. Sisi

and many other principal staffs of the university, Started with a word of prayer by the the university FCS president MST. Gideon, followed by the National and the institutions anthem which was led by the master if ceremony MC Liberty.


It was indeed a joyous and entertaining atmosphere for those present as jimmy jatt showcased his Gospel musical talent on stage pulling up the crowd to their feet’s , it was a memorable moment indeed.
the CPC chairman gave out his short welcome note expressing his heartfelt gratitude to those who were present to launch and commission their great and successful projects achieved in a short period of their tenure as students union excos of the university. followed up was a cultural dance presentation by the idoma cultural dance trope after which the president, National association of Idoma students UAM chapter made a short but amazing speech.
present at the ceremony was the federal university of agriculture makurdi student union president Comrd. Adai Pius and in his welcome speech extended his greetings/recognition to the governor of the state His Excellency Hon. Samuel ortom, the vice chancellor of the university Prof. Richard kimbir, former SU president of the university Comrd. Pine and the entire personalities present and gave much appreciation to God Almighty for his life and reign and also appreciated the relentless efforts of Prof. kimbir for quality and perfect service to the students and the institution at large .


Comrd. Pius said his campaign slogan was tagged REBRANDED and to his service he has made much efforts to serve the student of the university perfectly as planned physically and otherwise, erecting many structures, parks and water units within the school for the use of the students amongst many other projects within a short period and commended the students and the neighboring village for their supports to his led administration.

shortly after his speech the vice chancellor of the university Prof. kimbir up for his speech demanded for 1min silence for the deaths of the staff and students along

the semester, after which he said he has served as the Vice chancellor for 3 years in the university but unfortunately half of the years has been wasted as the result of several strikes and the covid19 pandemic which caused the institution and the whole world instability, but with the help of his God and good cooperation of the students union he has been able to strategies and exhibit most of his plans for the university as he planed though not all and also promised to help coordinate and cooperate with the Union to undergo a peaceful reelection of new SU excos as their tenure expires. Prof. Richard kimbir unveiled the Magazine, launched and supported the project with a huge sum. He Wentworth to dedicate the project to God and presented it for launching as other principal staffs and special dignitaries and individuals took on.


the CEO BENSASA Hon. Ronald Solomon representing Comrd. Abah moroh appreciated the efforts of the students union excos and commends the Union for a great work done. He said students of the university are learning under a conducive environment as rendered by a very humble and Godfearing person – prof. kimbir and therefore urges them to make use of it judiciously and wisely to become useful as the professor.
Thereafter the National association of idoma students UAM chapter headed by their patron Launched the magazine, welcomed and presented a huge gift together with a title in idoma language to the Ado-Ogbadibo house of representative Hon. Francis Otah, who received the gift with gratitude. He also commended the SU president Comrd. Adai Pius who is from the same local government with him and showcased the young president to the entire congregation for his great works done in the institution, he further exclaimed that, that is the good heart of the people of his constituency (ado-ogbadibo).
Hon. Francis Otah also appreciated the vice chancellor of the university and urges the youths and students of the institution not to involve themselves in drug abuse/addiction, giving the advice as a good Nigerian citizen, a father and the chairman Benue state committee on drug abuse as he said.

Hon. Francis promised to seat with his colleagues from his constituency and come out with what they will do in the university as soon as possible and further on proceeded with the crowd for commissioning of the students union projects at the various spots and collages.


The event was an awesome encounter/experience in the history of the institution.
